INO, a modular coffee table, born as a contrast between the geometric rigor of his modules (realized with metal welded net) and the soft sinuosity of the surface (in concrete canvas) laying on them. The objects, thanks to the design of three different components, makes modularity, ductility and imagination its main characteristics. Thought as a coffe table (40x145x60cm) INO can be stretched, mixed, rearranged with creativity and imagination without losing its essence, in order to fulfill the user necessities and aesthetics needs. The three modules are designed in order to obtain at least six horizontal surfaces of different dimensions to be used and filled with complementary objects of domestic rituals, routine and narratives.

Above are presented three versions of INO, each of them with the three modules, to underline how much the appearance can change just by using all of the components. But, for shaping your personal version of INO, the only limit is your imagination: you can compose your coffe table by using all of the modules, playing with just two or repeating one of them to the infinity and beyond. The online platform helps you deciding which one of your compositions you like best, showing the results of your creativity and needs. The product is composed by industrial materials, or better, construction ones. The modules are made with metal welded net, which is cut, bent and welded (TIG). The laying surface is made of concrete canvas, generally used to realize irrigation canals’ beds. It presents itself with an initial malleable aspect, gaining stiffness thanks to an hydration process. The union of these materials, considered ‘poor’, aims to challenge the reflection on the relationship between beauty, functionality, affordability, materiality and design democracy.

INO, was selected to make its first public appareance in October 2022, during EDIT NAPOLI 2022 exhibition. EDIT NAPOLI is an innovative design fair created to support, promote and celebrate a new generation of designers. It focuses on the rise of the designer-maker who is at the forefront of a movement that is challenging the traditional chain of production and distribution.EDIT Napoli selects a specific group of international, independent producers, craftsmen and enlightened manufacturers, emerging as an autonomous force in contemporary design.
The event took place from 6/9 October 2022.

The product was in order to be presented  during the “Salone del Mobile 2022” in the  Cosentino showroom, during the event were chosen three project to become finalists of the contest. Unfortunately, was  not select as one. The breif was to create an object using the material called Dekton, which the company produce. The minaral material is at today, used as a finishing one, to be added to diverse typology of products, from the  kitchen counter to the  furniture shutters. The aim of the project is to change this paradigm and tranforming the material into a protagonist.

The product is composed by three categories of components: a base with a lateral sustain , (a single recycled alluminum sheet  cut and bended) which draws the  silhouette of the  object recalling and evoking those decorative  vases present into our kitchens;  To the lateral sustain are welded the circular elemets (designed to host the dekton’ disks) which completes the formal perception of the object; Inside were  placed the dekton’s disks, designed  with diverse dimentions in relation to the  different usage  and the  complementary object within are going to  interact such as pans, mokas, glasses, plates,  kettles... but also in order to enhance all the technical properties of the material; The concept  presents three diverse typology of the object, design to  better suits the user necessities.

The product is an indoor lighting system  aiming to raise awareness and it is ambitious enough to pretend to reduce, by integrating  solar energy as main power source, our  dependence on fossil fuels. Starting from a simple gesture, as turning on the light. Novantaquattroc is an hybrid object, an  illumination system which integrates its opposite, the shadow as one of the main  feature.  Being a solar lamp, during the day while the  artificial light is not needed, so can provide  sun shade while charging, allowing the user to  regulate the height, position and shadowing  intensity by rotating its modules as a Venetian blind. Thanks to this duality the product is able to give privacy, sun shading but also lightness and air due to its structure and module’s  distance.

Providing the same ductility for the  lighting directioning and intensity allowing  the object togive both ambient and direct  lighting. At today Indoor solar lighting solution  are projects driven by an humanitarian aim or happens to be more movable devices  rather than illumination system, but we have  to start giving the good example and reduce  our dependence on fossil fuels starting by an electrical power sourcing transition to  renewables.

The product was thought to be an innovative light solution, that allows a more direct, playful and free interaction with the object. Due to the sensitive touch system the user   is free to  interact with the lamp  by simply  rolling it around and the light will stay still  while the lamp rolls (thanks to the accelerometer that is situated inside it).

With just a double touch on the lamp the user  can turn it on and  off, and a  single tap and slide is needed  to decided how wide  the light radius should  be;from just a line of light throughout a  portion of the cicle to the full tondo of light. The light solution can be used in different  positions in order to satify the users needs. The shape&function  came from an old game that children use to play, composed by a   wheel that throughout a  stick was rolled as far as you can, challenging the other kids. The charging system recall that game and thanks to the induction charging system tondo can be charged wherever the user needs.

Tondo is a wireless lamp that combines  movement and stillness. The interaction between user and lamp is renewed: it turns on and off with a simple touch, just as you choose the range of LEDs you want to switch on. By  making it roll with a simple motion of the hand, it can be easily placed from one spot to another: this represents a new and different gesture to move and interact with a lamp. Thanks to this ease in the movement, Tondo  can be used in different scenarios, such as: dining room, studio, office and living room in  the bigger size.

The product was thought to be a system of  surprises for children that goes from 3 years old to 9 years old. The project difficulties were design by challenging all the norms related   to designing toys  for kids, such as stricht rules on dimensions of the singles pieces,  in order to avoid the obstruction of the throat in case of swallowing  to let the child breath.

The project has been bought by the company  and is currently under production and development, and in order to follow the  agreement signed  some  informations about  it can’t be shared.

The product was thought to be a new kind of splint, that unite the strenght of the  cast and the lightness, and versatility of the splint. In massive emergencies situations, such as natural disasters, the number of  injured people is really high.
One of the most common injuries involves  broken bones. Due to their long treatment the victims of these kind of injuries are not a  priority to be assisted. Immobilization of the  bones is a crucial step to prevent further  damages. So that we propose a 1st AID  solution that, thanks to the VHB tape  properties, we could achive to connect the  quickness of a splint with the resistance of the cast.

The innovative characteristics are the incredible lightness and the  transportability due to the  fact that comes as  a flat sheet of material; In order to let Osteo fit in both legs and arms without having sizes, the avarage body dimensions has been  considered (95 percentile). You will have a flat sheet of plastic (HIPS) with some bend directions to follow, so that from a  2D  splint we are going to have a  3D one ready to use.
Once having composed the 3D shape  you just have to insert the damaged  part and stick the stripes (if needed you can easily cut with hands the extra part of the stripes).Composed by two parts, the way of use it is intuitive and fast, the object have no size,  can be used in both ways,  can be used just  one parts or both as needed.

The most compelling experience  untill now, was to direct, create, realize, an exhibition. With three friends of the university we created a design collective, started as a joke at the  beginning, but it let us think and realize, thanks to Marinella Rossi , our first exhibition curators experience.

We thought of all the aspects: from the main theme, to call all the  other designers that wanted to expose their work, to the invitation, the graphics,  lights, our installation, brochures and flyers... It Was hard and challenging, but amazing  with an amusing final result, we were shocked seeing how much people liked our installation.

The  aim was to make a three days exhibition as a passage, as a  dialogue between the  ambient and the projects and the colours; in which the main colour was red as a  metaphor of connection and freedom of  expression. We wanted to associate the colour  to an object, so we came up with the easiest  association possible, a tomato.to.

we can see some picture that narrates how where the exhibition operas and materials, how the atmospere was created in the location that mix internal with external spaces.

008.

We mainly focused on the creation of a  scenography that could leave both the  attenders/spectators and the presenters in awe, one that would allow every media element  (presentations, video content etc.) to be  distinguished and visible while still be  presented in a different and singular way. The solution that was eventually adopted to solve the standard frontal, one to many, method used in presentation.

We achieved this result by shortening the distance usually kept between the public and  the announcers creating a circular  immersing stage that would wrap around the spectators.  Said circular platform is engine activated, turning on itself (one complete spin every 2 minutes) has allowed the announcers to  approach the public fully and in a more direct  way during the whole performance of the event making the whole event different and  more dynamic.

In order to make the event even more unique, the traditional central monitor was instead  replaced with a square based pyramid on  which faces’ were projected the presentation’s media content; the use of this new, different  method gave a more compelling atmosphere. The use of the above mentioned pyramidal structure allowed for more different content  to be projected and visualised simultaneously. The pyramidal structure was thought as a media catalyst to convey and subsequently  spread to the public the related media content of the presentation.

The product’s aim to become a final solution  to liven up the journey in all of its phases, throughout its versatility tries to be as effective as possible in order to better  answer to every user personal  need.  The object’s division of spaces results  thoughtful and well structured but also free  to adapt to the users’s different needs.  The characteristics are: lightness,  practicality, modularity, resistance.

The design of the project presents a new way of carrying clothes that makes it possible for the users to use as less space as possible while carrying usually encumbrance clothes.  Furthermore reduce the crumple of said clothes during the travel. Once reached the destination thanks to the practical crutch with foldable hook is possible  to  decrease the stress caused by continuous packing and unpacking of the luggage. Also strongly  reducing the luggage’s encumbrance.

The mounting strives to achieve an  experience where the product describes both itself and its features through the  reproduction of the aromatic universe and its visual analogies. The context where the mountig is found was envisioned to engage  the client emotionally thus immersing such  in the fragrance’s imaginary, which travels  from intagible to tangible.

The main idea for the project is to create  a new connection with constumers when they first approach to the Lancôme world.  One of the first approach is when  clients reach to Cosmetics and Fragrances  boutiques and shops. This big retailers have everything presented on exact same  displays. This can make the decision for a consumer, “random”, unless they already know what to buy or looking for something that is popular (through Social networks,  advices exc.). In this field we believe that what can be done now by Lancôme is to work on the first impact they can cause on people, while they’re seing the products between hundreds of other brands.

The project is a revisitation of the common plastic games that the kids use during bath time; developed for children thatgoes from 3 to 10 years old.  The main inputs were given by wooden products contest to which was signed up.  The object is submarine formed by a hull and a covering part above it; the submarine turns into a boat by lifting said covering part, the watercraft is composed by four different removable  geometric shapes that  helps children get familiar with distinguishing  different shapes and proportions.

The product while used as a ship lightly  floats above water, when used as submarine  it floats right below the surface becoming a  real wood-submarine.
